Crude Oil Noncommercial Net Position
Noncommercial (speculative) long minus short contracts in NYMEX WTI crude oil futures, from the weekly CFTC Commitments of Traders legacy report, futures only. Positive is net long. Positions as of Tuesday, published by the CFTC the following Friday at 15:30 ET (the next Monday after a federal holiday); each value is stamped with its release time.
Category: macro. Macro economic indicators track monetary policy, liquidity conditions, and traditional market positioning. Changes in these metrics often lead Bitcoin price moves by days or weeks.
