United States Lower 48's highest hourly electricity demand in a day, in megawatts: the highest of EIA's hourly demand figures for the day, as PreReason reads them from EIA-930 (an hour's megawatthours are its average megawatts), the day counted in Eastern time. Not a figure EIA publishes as the day's peak. As PreReason read it once EIA's figures had settled, no earlier than 11:00 Eastern two days after the day; EIA may revise its hourly figures later, and a later revision is not read.
